A young man and his elderly neighbour
Chris, a young man in California, became close friends with Norma, his 84-year-old neighbour, and they lived like a grandson and his grandmother for five years. When she became very ill, he took her into his flat and looked after her until she died; he still feels changed by her and grateful to her.

Answer elements · عناصر الإجابة
- Layout: a title, an introduction (the problem: many pupils are inactive), 3 pieces of advice/benefits with linkers, a conclusion encouraging them.
- Arguments: (1) sport keeps you fit and prevents obesity and diseases; (2) it reduces stress and helps you concentrate and get better marks; (3) team sports help you make friends and learn cooperation; (4) it replaces hours spent on screens.
- Useful language: You should / ought to…, Why don't you…?, Don't…!, It is a good idea to…; First, Moreover, Besides, Finally, In conclusion.
- Model: Move More, Live Better! Many pupils spend their free time sitting in front of screens and never take part in sports. This is a real danger to their health. First, you should practise a sport at least twice a week because it keeps you fit and protects you from obesity and heart diseases. Moreover, physical activity reduces stress and helps you concentrate better in class. Besides, joining a school team is a great way to make new friends. If you don't like competitions, why don't you walk to school or go cycling at the weekend? So, stay active: your body and your mind will thank you!
